During the parade of
Hispanic Heritage in the city of New York in the United States, a delegation of
the Carnival of Barranquilla with his Queen Stephanie Mendoza Vargas rocked the
Big Apple with a sample of what is coming in the festivities next year.
Bringing together different costumes alluding to party like the garabato,
cumbia and fantasy costumes, they were presenting the most important characters
during their passage down Fifth Avenue.
The costumes were full
of glitter, sequins and feathers, mainly emphasizing the dress of the queen that
was a silver top, adorned with a mesh of the same color on a V-neck, along with
a well plated short and adorned with a feather skirt with gradient blue tones,
plus a headdress and thick-heeled black shoes.
With this show, Colombia
took the first place during the parade honored for the Macy's prize, because of
the joy and talent of the participants, hopefully people will be attending the
party from 25 to 28 February 2017 to wait the festivities in Barranquilla,
Colombia.
